An audit among last year's 300 breast cancer patients is being held this year, Health Parliamentary Secretary Chris Fearne said.

Speaking during a lecture organised by Europa Donna, Mr Fearne said the audit is being held for the health department to be able to map out patients’ care and see what could be improved.

He said it would be carried out by the Cancer Care Pathways Directorate.

The audit would determine whether there were patients who were lacking anything in their care, if there were patients who were waiting too long for results and if there were shortcomings which could be improved.
