Another in the series of MITTS Ltd public ICT discussion fora, aimed at bringing to discussion issues that affect ICT policy areas, will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise, Republic Street, Valletta on March 17 from 5.45 to 7.30 p.m.

The forum will be under the theme Breaking the Da ICT Code: Can Malta Become an ICT Hub? The development of ICT in Malta has exploded over the recent years. This development is giving a number of opportunities to the Maltese Industry.

Malta is becoming one of the leading countries in the EU in terms of ICT use. But what really is the potential of Malta becoming an ICT Hub? What are the strengths and weaknesses, what are the challenges? Should the country start thinking differently now?

Competing in the international arena means that businesses have to start venturing beyond our shores using various stratagems. The Public ICT discussion Forum will focus and discuss these and other issues under the following themes: The ICT Industry: Strengths and Weaknesses; A Vision for Malta as an ICT Hub: Is it just a Fad?; The Local ICT Industry Paradigm: From Farmer to Hunter; and MITTS Ltd: A National ICT Asset?

For more information and reservations contact Bernadette Zerafa, communications executive, MITTS Ltd, on 2599-2521 or register your attendance via email on mitts@gov.mt.
