The Bank of Valletta will be opening a new branch in Buġibba, which should be fully operational by late 2009.

The bank said in a statement announcing its plans yesterday that the decision to have a new branch in the area stems from the needs of the large business community and the growing population there.

"BOV is investing in a new branch to continue to provide the quality financial services that we have a strong reputation for. As always, we are responding to our customers' needs and are providing a branch that will accommodate the new realities of the community," the bank's CEO Tonio Depasquale said.
