Bank of Valletta has donated funds to the Gozo branch of the Malta Red Cross Society, which will be used for the functioning of the new ambulance donated by the Italian Red Cross regional committee for Sicily.

The new ambulance boasts the latest technology, including a resuscitation ventilator, vital signs monitor, full body vacuum mattress, body sign board and a carry chair, scoop stretcher, AED and resuscitation kits. This ambulance will complement another ambulance that the organisation has, which also benefited from previous funds donated by BoV.

The funds were presented by Gozo branch manager Jack Theuma to Prof. Frederick Fenech, president of the Malta Red Cross.

BoV's support to the Malta Red Cross Society aims to strengthen the organisation's operative network, making the services offered by the society more effective.
