Bank of Valletta has resumed its internet banking, also giving access to third-party payment services through its branch network.

However, customers who want to process payments to non-SEPA countries on the same day with that same day's value date will need to wait as the service has not yet been reinstated.

The bank's operations are now close to normal and the bank is concentrating its efforts on processing the last few backlogs that had resulted from a cyberattack which drained €13 million from its systems.

A group, dubbed EmpireMonkey by investigators, carried out the heist from the bank on February 13, which led BOV to temporarily take its services offline.
