Bank of Valletta has been included as a finalist for the prestigious Financial Innovation Awards for the fifth time.

Competing with leading financial institutions worldwide, all three BoV projects nominated have made it to the final selection.

The bank’s community relations programme was the first of the projects in the shortlist. Through this programme, the bank manages the distribution of a proportion of its pre-tax profits to the community within which it operates.

The second project relates to the bank’s SME programme, a comprehensive approach to the specific and diverse banking needs of the small and medium enterprise. The third nomination relates to the bank’s staff suggestion scheme, a mechanism dedicated to taking the staff’s own suggestions on board so that there is a tangible benefit to operations.

The Financial Innovation Awards are one of the most well-established annual awards in the financial services industry. Entries are received from global organisations with finalists chosen following a rigorous selection process.

A handful of financial institutions make it to the finals and have the prestige of being distinguished among the best within the industry.
