All Bank of Valletta branches will be open until 4 p.m. tomorrow.

Igino Xuereb, Chief Officer Operations, said that by 3 p.m. on Friday BOV employees had carried out over 42,500 over-the-counter transactions.

"We are pleased with the feedback from our customers, who are showing that they are fully appreciative of the efforts of our employees to provide the best service even during these times of extraordinary demand," Mr Xuereb said.

He added that over 600 employees were manning front office operations to cater for the increased demand and to reduce customer waiting time.
