Foreign Minister Tonio Borg has expresed Malta's condolences to Italy following the death of six Italian soldiers in a Kubul suicide bombing yesterday.

In a letter to Foreign Minister Franco Fratini, Dr Borg said Malta condemned terrorist acts which were aimed at preventing the Afghan people from exercising their democratic rights.

This, unfortunately, was a price paid by Italy in its contribution for international peace and security, the minister said.
