Bookings are open for the Bir Miftuħ International Music Festival organised by Din l-Art Ħelwa.
The festival will take place between May 9 and June 26 with five concerts featuring international and local artists.
The first concert will be a Baroque recital by the ensemble Il Sogno.
On May 22 two groups of young Austrian musicians, the SMS String Quartet and the Ensemble Pianoflauti, will feature works by Haydn, Schubert and Mendelssohn together with guest artist baritone Benno Schollum.
A flute and accordion concert by the Duo Arcadio Baracchi and Ivano Battiston will be held on June 6.
On June 19 a violin, viola and cello recital will be held. The final concert is the vocal and harp concert by Marie-Pierre Wattiez, soprano, and Anne Marie Camilleri Podestá.
Tickets for each concert cost €20 per person, including refreshments after the performance. All funds raised through the Bir Miftuħ Music Festival go towards Din l-Art Ħelwa's restoration programme. For more information call 2122 5952/2122 0358 Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and noon.
