A colourful book simplifying the UN convention on the Rights of the Child ‘My Rights’ was launched this morning at St Monica School in Birkirkara.

The book was launched by Commissioner for Children Helen d’Amato who said it targeted students aged between 10 and 12 and would be distributed to all Year 6 and Form 1 students.

The book condenses 54 articles using simple terminology.

Prior to its publication, students from four schools, namely St Monica Primary and Secondary, St Michae Secondary, St Margaret Primary and Secondary and Gozo College Primary and Secondary, were consulted.

The book’s launch coincides with the 25th anniversary of the UN convention.
