Speaker Anglu Farrugia this afternoon presented Opposition leader Simon Busuttil with a new book he is launching on Parliamentary work in the first year of the legislature.

Dr Farrugia explained that the aim of the book was to keep detailed records of parliamentary work for everyone to have a reference to the work being carried out.

The book includes the rulings given by the Speaker in his first year and statistics on meeting legislation and motions moved in Malta.

Dr Farrugia dedicated the book to the Prime Minister and the leader of the Opposition as appreciation for their work.

Today, he presented Opposition leader Simon Busuttil with a copy of the book.

Dr Busuttil said that the Opposition was being exemplary in its work to ensure that Malta’s interests came first and foremost.

Dr Farrugia praised Dr Busuttil for his work in several committees including those set up on the Opposition’s initiatives.
