At least 30 people have been killed in two suicide bombings at a shrine in Pakistan, an emergency official said.

Thousands of people were visiting the shrine in the Dera Ghazi Khan district of Punjab when the bombers struck.

Emergency co-ordinator Natiq Hayat said 30 people have been killed and 100 wounded.

Militants believe visiting shrines is against the spirit of Islam and have carried out such attacks in the recent past.
