Bold Rainbows hold Citizens Tarxien Rainbows produced a stirring second-half fightback to hold title favourites Valletta to a 2-2 draw at the Victor Tedesco Stadium this evening.

Valletta looked well on their way to return to winning ways when they surged to a two goal lead by the end of the opening half. Jamie Pace put the Citizens ahead after 40 minutes before Njongo Priso made it 2-0 a minute before the half-time whistle.

However, Tarxien failed to throw in the towel and two quick-fire goals from Brazilian striker Anderson Ribeiro on 61 and 65 minutes earned them a valuable point.
