Daniel Bogdanovic came off the bench to help Barnsley to a prestigious 1-1 draw against big-spending Mancehster City at Oakwell Stadium yesterday.
The Malta international forward came on for John Macken 19 minutes from time and he soon made his presence felt.
With six minutes to go, Bogdanovic raced past the City defence and opted to hit it first time and the ball just flew past Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given and into the far corner of the net.
However, the hosts joy was shortlived as two minutes from time Stephen Ireland's cross-shot fell kindly to Martin Petrov who tapped the ball into an empty net.
Petrov's goal was a late boost for Manchester City manager Mark Hughes who saw new signing Kolo Toure, who joined the Blues from Arsenal earlier last week, hobble off after an hour with a slight injury and was replaced by Ryan McGiven.
