Daniel Bogdanovic strengthened his claim for a regular place after scoring in Sheffield United’s three-all draw against Burnley yesterday.

With Sheffield United trailing to goals by Dean Marney and Chris Eagles (penalty) in the opening 10 minutes of the second half, Bogdanovic pulled one back on 57 minutes. The Malta forward pounced on a mistake by Tyrone Mears to race clear and fire home his first goal for the club.

Bogdanovic made way for Ched Evans on 69 minutes.

The Blades made it 2-2 eight minutes from time courtesy of Matthew Lowton but Burnley thought they had grabbed the points when Jay Rodriguez fired them ahead on the stroke of time.

In a dramatic finale, Mark Yeates struck a stoppage-time equaliser for Sheffield United who are 18th in the standings, level with Portsmouth on 12 points.
