The Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD) is holding a course entitled 'The psychology of body language', which will focus on the role of body language in the messages we give and receive during our daily interactions. Various studies in social psychology have shown that body language is responsible for up to 55 per cent of the impact and effectiveness of our communication.

The workshop will focus on improving the ability to be more receptive and perceptive to non-verbal signals.

This includes reading facial expressions, hand gestures, postures, leg positions and understanding eye-accessing cues.

Patrick Psaila will conduct the course, which will be held on Friday, July 25 and August 1 (three sessions), between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the foundation's premises in San Ġwann.
