BMIT Limited, the Maltese co-location expert and online service provider, has obtained PCI compliancy from Sysnet Global Solutions and the Alderney eGambling Ordinance 2009 certificate fromthe Alderney Gambling ControlCommission.

Dublin-based Sysnet Global Solutions, the information security assurance and compliance validation service provider, has tested BMIT in various standard levels of operation to issue the prestigious certification.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is a worldwide security standard created to help organisations that process card payments prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its exposure to compromise. With this certification, BMIT Limited has now become a fully PCI compliant data centre.

Several aspects of BMIT’s operation were tested, including the physical security policy and procedures, and the media distribution policy and procedures.

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission has presented BMIT Ltd with the notorious hosting certificate. Alderney licensees are permitted to take advantage of the modern hosting facilities and reliable telecommunication networks on both Alderney and Guernsey’s high capacity telecommunication links to the UK, Europe, the USand Asia.

These two significant certifications are intended to demonstrate that the company is equipped to assist in protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of vital information assets of its clients.
