Pirates Of The Caribbean heart-throb Orlando Bloom has married his Australian supermodel girlfriend Miranda Kerr in an "intimate" ceremony.

The couple began dating around three years ago and confirmed their engagement last month.

They tied the knot during a low-key ceremony in Los Angeles, according to reports.

The 33-year-old British film star and his new bride, 27, are thought to be embarking on their honeymoon. News of the nuptials slipped out after upmarket Australian department store David Jones said Ms Kerr, who is their "fashion ambassador", would be unable to attend a spring season launch next month as she will still be on honeymoon.

"I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment of my life," Ms Kerr said in the statement.
