A blood donation session followed by a series of three workshops and a planetarium show regarding blood are being organised tomorrow by Esplora Interactive Science Centre.

The blood donation session will be held at Villa Bighi, Kalkara, tomorrow from 2 to 5pm. Residents from nearby villages are welcome to join staff from the Malta Council for Science and Technology and Esplora to donate blood.

This will be followed by an event called Bloody Late at Esplora Interactive Science Centre, Kalkara, from 6 to 10pm, comprising three workshops that will be discussing the subjects of blood donation, blood processing, blood circulation, blood composition, blood groups and blood compatibility. A show about blood entitled Cell, Cell, Cell will also be shown at the Espolora Planetarium.

The workshops will be addressed by staff from the National Blood Transfusion Service, members from Organ Donation and people who have received an organ donation. Participants can register to become organ donors during the event.

The blood donation session will be held at Villa Bighi, Kalkara, tomorrow from 2 to 5pm. Bloody Late will be held at Esplora Interactive Science Centre, Kalkara, from 6 to 10pm.
