Blevins Franks, the wealth management group, has completed its move from Sliema to new premises in Mrieħel.

With offices throughout the UK and Europe, the Blevins Franks Group provides trust and corporate services, tax and financial advice mainly to British expatriates resident in France, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus and Malta and elsewhere in Europe, Hong Kong, Canada and Australia.

The group has over €1 billion assets under management and is the largest trust company in Malta regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Finance Minister Tonio Fenech were given a tour of the new offices by founding director David Franks earlier this week. Dr Gonzi said despite the challenges, Malta's financial sector registered 20 per cent growth last year.

Blevins Franks started its Malta operations 12 years ago with 13 employees. It now has a staff complement of 85 professionals, almost all Maltese. Over half of the group's staff are based in Malta, the central operation for all compliance, marketing, investment administration and trust administration.
