It’s happened once before, and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t happen again. According to reports doing the rounds on several music websites, Ozzy Osbourne is said to be discussing the possibility of reconvening the original Black Sabbath line-up with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward yet again.

Ozzy confirmed that the matter of a reunion is “in the talking process” during an interview with ABC News Radio, adding that the talks also include the recording of a new studio album by the legendary band but that nothing is definite yet.

He also spoke of the immense pressure the band faces once the reunion is agreed upon, saying “if we do an album and it’s anything less than where we left off, it’s going to be a big anticlimax”.

But before Black Sabbath fans get too excited it’s worth remembering that Ozzy is currently tied up for the best part of this year touring his Scream album, meaning that if the reunion goes through, it won’t be until later this year, or possibly even next year at the earliest.
