The final draft of the law that would set up the police union was now complete and meetings will be held this week or the next with all the relative associations, Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia said.

Speaking in Parliament in reply to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi, the minister said that during the meetings the associations would be informed of the the government’s plans for the union.
