The Bicycling Advocacy Group welcomed efforts by the Sliema council to raise awareness through road signs which warned drivers about the presence of cyclists.

The sign, which was set up in Tower Road, also makes it clear that cyclists should not use the pavement. The group said this was a win-win situation and urged other councils to identify “safe corridors” and routes in their localities.
