It's all over bar the shouting in the Honda League, which saw fixture no.20, from a total of 23, played last week at the Eden SuperBowl.

Fina First only need a mere two points from the 24 up for grabs to claim their 12th championship in a row. The top four all walked away with 8-0 victories to consolidate their positions as second-placed Fina Excel produced the best team performance of the week in their easy win over Globalair Travel.

At the other end, relegation was confirmed for lowly Royal Shock, while nothing short of a miracle can save Toons Two from the drop.

Fina First have another title almost in the bag after a full-point win against troubled Toons Two. The champions took the eight points in less-than-classic Fina style as they won all games 785-751, 743-742 and 768-696 to complete the whitewash.

Fina captain Sue Abela played consistently well for a 634 series, and Ray Mifsud managed a sound 596 for Toons Two for whom relegation is now a stark reality.

Excel bowled the team series of the week (2,449 pins) in their thrashing of Globalair who are still in the danger zone. There was a fine 688 series for Excel's Brian Farrugia while team-mate Melissa Anastasi rolled a great 656. Simon Burke took 585 pins for Globalair who are just two points adrift of safety.

There were an easy eight points for Aercomms as they took on bottom team Royal Shock who are now mathematically doomed. The latter seemed resigned to the facts as they came out with a poor 678 against Aercomms' 770 in game one, following up with a 712-732 loss. The third saw a further decline as Royal Shock could only manage a 639 against 757 from their opponents who were 230 pins better on the night.

Duwpa Company (fifth) walked off with a 6-2 victory against eighth-placed Dream Team, once again lacking the team consistency required to take all points. There was a 587 for Duwpa's Danial Swift, while Dream Team captain Andre Grech shot a good 658.

It was also a six-point win for Technicolor in their outing against Ramis, who are still unsure of their status, lying just two points above the relegation zone. Ramis gave a sub-standard performance as Technicolor claimed the series points by 67 pins.

DAB Beer snatched an 8-0 win from a very distracted Playzone side to stay fourth (689-830, 712-800, 623-698). Pierre German rolled a 654 for DAB while Doris Camilleri shot 554 for Playzone.

Standings: Fina First 132, Fina Excel 110, Aercomms 108, Dab Beer 96, Duwpa 86, Technicolor 80, Playzone 78, Dream Team 67, Ramis 64, Globalair 62, Toons Two 43, Royal Shock 34.

Bowlers of the Week: Brian Farrugia (688) Fina Excel; Melissa Anastasi (656) Fina Excel.
