The large plant pots placed along Ġlormu Cassar Avenue in Valletta have added a touch of greenery to the pavement, even though flowers are often stolen and those with pushchairs or wheelchairs struggle to get past. But since the lights on the outer part of the road are no longer being switched on at night, despite being kitted out with redundant Christmas lights, the plant pots have become a hazard - since pedestrians are failing to spot them and end up planting themselves.
