PN deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami this morning underwent a four-and-a-half hour operation in a London Hospital to remove a cancerous tumour from his right shoulder.

"The surgeon and his team said they were satisfied with the outcome of the operation," Dr Fenech Adami's sister, Maria Cassar, said. Should everything go as planned, he should be out of hospital in about a week.

Dr Fenech Adami was diagnosed in July and has undergone an intensive radiotherapy treatment.
