Baystreet will go green this Saturday when the Ta' Qali Producers Group (TQPG) will be exhibiting its produce n aid of Angela House. The complex will be colourfully decorated with fresh vegetables and fruit on display in various areas. The afternoon will be characterized by a variety of education and recreational events targeting various age groups.
“The whole place will be a buzz of activity which will include pony rides, salad bars and demo areas displaying healthy food, music events and other live entertainment, as well as the “participation” of some baby goats,” the cooperative said.
The cooperative will also be giving away small gifts of fruits to the residents of Angela House who will be present at the event.
Children will have the opportunity to help chefs prepare healthy salads.
Angela House is a residential home for some 50 aged 4 to 15 who, due to various reasons, cannot live with their families. The institute houses small groups of children in separate units, with each unit having a nun who acts as the responsible guardian for these children.
