Volunteer lifeguards of the ERRC this morning rescued a British man who found himself in difficult while swimming in the Blue Lagoon, Comino.

The man, who was in his late thirties, was seen calling for help and could hardly stay afloat.

Lifeguards swam to the victim and pulled him ashore.

He was given assistance because he had swallowed a considerable amount of water, the corps said.
