Adam Sallet, a reporter with KIMT News 3, which covers Minnesota and Iowa, became part of a story he was covering live on air Tuesday.

Sallet was standing outside the Sterling State Bank in Rochester, Minnesota, reporting on a robbery committed on Monday, one of a series in the area. However, as soon as he appeared on camera a man who is said to be a bank employee ran into view pointing at something.

That something was apparently the robber. “Oh, that’s the robber,” Sallet said to camera. “This is live TV, folks. That’s the robber [that] just went by according to the bank employee. So, I got to go here and call 911. I’ll talk to you later.”

Sallet then dashed off camera before the report switched back to the KIMT studio with anchorman Tyler Mickelson telling the TV audience: “I can assure you that was not set up.”
