Bank of Valletta said it has been short listed as a finalist for the Financial Innovation Awards 2007 organised by the Institute of Financial Services (UK).

The bank said its Brand Promise Programme has been short listed in the Most Innovative Customer Service Programme category at this year's Awards Ceremony that will be held next week at the New Connaught Rooms, in Covent Gardens, London.

Now in its 10th year, the Financial Innovation Awards have attracted high quality nominations from across the spectrum of organisations providing financial services. The non-commercial awards are an established feature of the finance industry's calendar and are regarded as the awards to compete for.

"For Bank of Valletta it is a great achievement that our Brand Promise Programme has been short-listed as a finalist," Tonio Depasquale, chief executive officer of Bank of Valletta, said.

The other finalists for the Financial Innovation Award in the Most Innovative Customer Service Programme category are the Royal Bank of Scotland International, Nationwide Building Society and the Key Trust Company.
