In keeping with its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Mediterranean Bank is supporting Inspire – the foundation for inclusion – in a deal that will see the bank supporting the foundation through 2017.

The bank recently financed the repairs of a lift used by children with intellectual disabilities and autism, some of whom need the lift to move from floor to floor.

Inspire PR and marketing manager Alison Bezzina said the foundation had been struggling to finance the costly repairs for the lift until the bank’s intervention.

Mediterranean Bank has also sponsored one child’s winter programme – which targets children with disability who attend mainstream schools and follow an adapted learning plan. Although the programme is offered free of charge, its costs approximately €700 per year to run.

Ms Bezzina thanked the bank for supporting the foundation on behalf of Inspire’s clients and their families.
