A man charged with stealing a car in 2005 after a sticker with his fingerprints was found in the stolen vehicle was granted bail.

Jose’ De Vella Seixes, 23, denied stealing a Mazda 626 used in the hold-up of Munchies Confectionary in San Ġwann five days before Christmas in 2005.

Defence lawyer Joe Giglio told Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera that Mr De Vella Seixes’ parents had reported their car stereo and a sticker that was on the car strangely stolen.

The sticker was found on the Mazda used in the hold-up with Mr Seixes fingerprints on it.

Mr De Vella Seixes’ was granted bail against a deposit of €1,000 and a personal guarantee of €4,000.
