A baby has died after a young boy opened fire on him as he was being pushed in a buggy by his mother, police in Georgia say.

Officers with automatic weapons went door to door in coastal Brunswick searching for suspects.

Police Chief Tobe Green says the suspects in the killing of the 13-month-old boy are thought to be between 10 and 15 years old.

Police so far have no motive in the shootings that happened yesterday morning, The Brunswick News reports.

Brunswick Police spokesman Todd Rhodes says the mother suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at a hospital.

Police are offering a 10,000 dollars reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
