The Broadcasting Authority had formally revoked the broadcasting licence of Family TV.

The licence was suspended in the summer after proceedings were started in June in view of the fact that Family Television Network had ceased broadcasting.

The BA said the licensee was given the opportunity to submit representations and it had also sought information from the licensee to establish whether there were any reasonable prospects that the company could resume broadcasting on a regular basis in the near future.

The requested information was not submitted and the Authority said it had no indication whatsoever that the station could resume regular broadcasting in the near future.
