In less than a month's time, British Airways will take over the Malta-London Gatwick route currently operated by its franchisee partner GB Airways. Fares to London start from €90, one way, all inclusive. Bookings can be made online on ba.com or through a travel agent.
British Airways will operate this route with a Boeing 737 aircraft, offering a two-cabin service, Club Europe (business class) and Euro Traveller (economy), said a spokesman for British Airways. The flight departs Malta every day at 5.25 a.m. and arrives at London Gatwick at 7.30 a.m. From London Gatwick the return flight departs at 9.55p.m. and lands in Malta at 2.10 a.m.
The spokesman remarked that the new schedule allows for a full day of work or leisure in London as well as the possibility to transfer onto intercontinental flights offered by British Airways, departing from London Gatwick and London Heathrow, to a number of destinations in the world, thanks to its unrivalled extensive worldwide network. In fact, British Airways offers a network that reaches over 150 destinations in 74 countries.
British Airways flights are already open for sale on ba.com. Booking travel on ba.com is easy and convenient thanks to its enhanced booking engine that allows one to view all available fares for each day of the week, said the spokesman.
