An award-winning Macedonian pianist is to perform at the Teatru Manoel next week. 

Boban Mirkovski will perform the Toccata Op 7 in C-Major by R Schumann, Hungarian Rhapsody by F. Liszt, piano works by leading Russian composer Aram Khachaturian, Serbez Donka, a piano piece based on traditional Macedonian folk combined with classical and jazz music by Macedonian composer D Imeri and Piano Sonata by 20th century Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich.

Mr Mirkovski has won multiple awards for his performances, including accolades at ArsKosova in Kosovo, Davorin Jenko in Serbia, Music & Earth in Bulgaria and the Klimentina Rafajlovka award for best young artist in Macedonia.

Born in 1991 and educated at the Faculty of Music Arts in the Macedonian capital Skopje, he currently works as a piano professor at SMBEC “Ilija Nikolovski – Luj”.

Mr Mirkovski will perform at the Teatru Manoel next Wednesday March 15 at 8pm. Senior citizen and student tickets are being sold at a discounted price.
