A 16-year-old boy whose body was found in Grand Harbour on Sunday had drowned, according to a preliminary autopsy report, issued today.

The autopsy report is preliminary since toxicological tests still have to be concluded.

Formal identification of the body has still to be made because of the advanced stage of decomposition. However it is believed to have been Maxim Vorobyev, who had been missing for over a week.

Police investigations are continuing.
