JMartans, the Mosta-based company, has completed the installation of an automated living room within its offices to showcase the capability of its holistic home solution.

The home, industrial, building and marine automation specialists have incorporated systems from a range of well-known brands to various applications within the innovative concept. Lighting, drapes, air-conditioning, under-floor heating, and multimedia systems’ automation is entirely integrated.

Homeowners are also able to manage the automation system through custom-designed apps for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and PC. The app features functions which allow ‘scenes’ to be pre-set to suit moods.

“Our unique selling proposition is systems integration,” JMartans founders Jonathan and Marilyn Grech explained. “Home automation can allow for considerable energy saving – apart from delivering the comfort and security that comes with having an ‘intelligent’ home. We have implemented various installations in homes of all sizes and more people are showing interest in these systems.”

The Gozitan couple established the business in 2005 to specialise in industrial automation. After rebranding three years ago, the company widened its scope to home, marine and building solutions.

JMartans has already amassed a portfolio of projects and collaborates with a network of professionals and suppliers to meet clients’ integration requirements. Last year, it completed lighting installations at the Malta Enterprise head office, the Ċirkewwa ferry terminal, and the University of Malta.

This year, the JMartans five-strong team has been entrusted with a collection of solutions ranging from private homes to commercial premises and an ambitious project on a yacht.
