I refer to the report (December 6) on the signing of an agreement between the governments of Malta and Austria under which the Austrian embassies will be issuing Maltese visas.
For clarification’s sake, one must point out that this does not apply in all third countries where Malta does not operate an embassy. In fact, the agreement covers the following third countries: Addis Ababa in Ethiopia; Bangkok in Thailand; Bern, Switzerland; Bogotá, Columbia; Brasilia, Brazil; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Bucharest, Romania; Caracas Vene-zuela; Dakar, Senegal; Damascus, Syria; Harare, Zimbabwe; Hong Kong, the People’s Republic of China; Jakarta, Indonesia; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Kuwait, Kuwait; Lima, Peru; Mexico City, Mexico ; Nairobi, Kenya; Ottawa, Canada; Santiago de Chile, Chile; Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Seoul, Korea; Shanghai, the People’s Republic of China; Sofia, Bulgaria; Tehran, Iran and Tokyo in Japan.
