The popular Fine Arts Auction in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund will this year be held on Friday evening at the Palace in Valletta.

Last year’s auction improving the coffers of the Fund by €42,500.

The Fund said that the auction will include quality items of Melitensia, stone carvings, modern and antique oil paintings, watercolours and ceramics, jewellery, coins, stamps, antique furniture, as well as a superb selection of fine wines fit to grace the cellar of the most discerning wine collector.

All items were donated by private individuals.

Joseph Sammut, Head Auctioneer at Belgravia Auction Gallery, will auction the selection of 70 lots. Their number was kept to a minimum due to the time limitation of the actual auction.

"Quality and variety were the determining factors for inclusion for the event," the Fund said.

An illustrated catalogue has been printed for the occasion and may be viewed on line (pdf attached) on www.mccf.org.mt or www.doi.gov.mt

Invitations for the auction are obtainable from the Malta Community Chest Fund offices at the Palace. A €25 donation will confirm entrance to the Presidential Palace, an invitation to the Champagne Reception (sponsored by Pol Roger Champagne, M Demajo Group and Zest Caterers) and a reserved seat for the auction.
