Nazzareno Attard retained the provisional lead in the Malta International Grand Prix which is currently being held at the Bidnija ranges.

The Trap competition, organised by the Malta Shooting Sport Federation and with an entry field of 58 Maltese and Italian shooters, got underway on Friday.

Attard hit a straight and a 23 to go top with 48 points at the end of Day One. Yesterday, he had two similar scores of 24 to maintain the pace at the top of the leaderboard and finish Day Two with a tally of 96 from 100.

Yesterday's best scores were those of Stefano Pennoni and Ugo Procacci. The latter hit a straight and Pennoni had a perfect 50 from 50 to go second in the provisional standings with 94/100.

The competition resumes this morning with the remaining 25 clays. The top six will then proceed to the barrage final, scheduled for 1 p.m.
