The Vikings Sailing Club will be holding an Open Day at its premises at Haywharf tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Visitors will be taken out on sailing boats to allow them to feel the thrill of gliding over the water with just the power of the wind.

The club will be taking care of all the necessary equipment by providing the boats, including safety gear and qualified instructors.

Visitors will also be able to learn about the various courses on offer, including Skolasport and Summer On The Move.

On the same day two boats forming part of the Sail Ability programme organised by the Razzett tal-Ħbiberija will be launched. These boats are specially made to cater for people with special needs.

The VSC was set up in 1984 and today has over 200 members. It is situated just a few metres downhill from the entrance of the new Excelsior Hotel in Floriana and near the AFM Maritime Squadron at Haywharf.
