The third round of races from the current season's ASM Pasta Poiatti National Championship will take place at Ta' Qali on Sunday. The day starts with heats in various categories followed by the finals where championship points will be at stake.

Competition in Autocross is becoming more intense with every round of the championship, particularly in Class A where the best drivers around are grouped together.

Patrick Cassar, in his Opel Corsa, claimed top spot in the last Autocross race after dominating all three of the qualifying heats he took part in. Gordon Abela, in a Honda, was second.

The Autocross B final winner was Carmel Camilleri in a Ford Escort. He led from start to finish to keep runner-up Edward Sammut (Honda) at bay.

Banger racing is also prompting significant interest. In the previous championship round, Mark Micallef placed first after garnering 57 points from the 60 allocated for the race. Tony Spiteri was second ahead of George Debono.
