The Air Malta and Go employees whose employment was being terminated, as well as other workers who have already been dismissed from other companies, had received written guarantees from the Prime Minister before the election that their employment would be safeguarded, PL deputy leader Anglu Farrugia said today.

Dr Farrugia said in a statement that while these families were going through such burdens, the government was working to protect its own interest and it wanted MPs to vote tomorrow to defend the €500 weekly raise the Prime Minister gave himself and his colleagues.

Each and every MP had the choice to vote according to his conscience tomorrow – with the PM or with families, Dr Farrugia said.
