Brief news ahead of this weekend's Premier League matches:

* Arsenal could be without William Gallas and Emmanuel Eboue for the visit to Stoke City tomorrow after "niggles" they picked up in Wednesday's 4-4 draw with Tottenham.

Arsenal's captain Gallas has a recurrence of a hamstring problem while Ivorian defender Eboue is struggling with his knee, manager Arsene Wenger told Arsenal TV.

"It looks like Gallas will be out and maybe Eboue too," Wenger said.

* Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz and defender Andre Ooijer will miss the away trip to West Bromwich Albion tomorrow, Rovers said on their website.

Paraguayan Santa Cruz suffered a minor calf tear during the warmup before the midweek game with Aston Villa, while Ooijer has been ruled out with a knee problem.

* Sunderland manager Roy Keane has promised "one or two surprises" in his lineup to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.

Keane was unimpressed by the defeat at Stoke in midweek and accused his team of lacking workrate. "I'm still angry about Wednesday," he told the club's website.

* Middlesbrough defender Justin Hoyte is ready to return fpr the home clash with West Ham United tomorrow after missing the last three matches with a thigh injury, the club said on their website.

Egypt striker Mido will be assessed just before the game after missing two matches with a groin injury. Mido's compatriot Mohamed Shawky faces three weeks out though after the midfielder suffered a thigh injury.
