Arriva said today that a coordinated short term review of the network is underway with the goal of improving service based on customer feedback and early operating experience.

In a statement, the bus company said that services started well this morning following additional “on the job” training in recent days for support staff and the arrival of a number of staff from overseas.

"With more people travelling it is evident that loading times are increasing as a result of the additional on-board ticket purchases and this is resulting in extra journey time," the company admitted.

"Working closely with Transport Malta additional resource has been mobilised during the day to enhance the services at times of delay"

The compnay said that any service changes resulting from the initial review will be broadcast in advance.
