Confusion on Arriva’s future has reached new heights, with the bus company saying talks with the government are continuing even though Transport Minister Joe Mizzi said yesterday that they had been 'exhausted'.
No further details were divulged, with a ministry spokeswoman saying there was “nothing to add”.
A spokesman for Arriva insisted that talks had not been concluded and that any announcement would be made in due course.
“In the meantime, it is business as usual,” the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, Arriva employees who spoke to the Times of Malta on condition of anonymity said the uncertainty of recent months was taking its toll.
