Arriva will be running a special service between Valletta and Marsaxlokk on Wednesday for people who wish to enjoy the customary first swim of the year during the traditional feast of San Girgor.

This special route 81 will be operating between Valletta and Marsaxlokk from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and will be in addition to the regular Route 81, which will continue operating as usual.

Departing from Bay 1 at the Valletta Terminus, the special route 81 will pass through Paola, Tarxien and Bir id-Deheb, without entering Zejtun, on its way to Marsaxlokk, and will follow this same route back, departing from the terminus by Marsaxlokk primary school.

Arriva will be running this special service to enable more people to enjoy the traditional celebrations in comfort and without the stress and hassle of having to drive and park, an Arriva spokesman said.
