A lack of replacement parts on the international market has resulted in the ramps on some of its buses being inoperative, Arriva said today.

The company said that its engineering department is sourcing out parts internationally to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Arriva has set up a temporary procedure aimed at reducing the inconveniece caused by this situation as much as possible.

Wheelchair users who wish to travel on Arriva buses can call Arriva's Customer Care Centre on 21222000 and inform the company about their point of departure and arrival. Arriva said it will provide personnel at both locations to help passengers board and alight from buses.

Arriva's Customer Care Centre can be contacted everyday, including on Sundays and public holidays, at any time between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
