Love and the value of voluntary work were the centre of the Archbishop’s message for Christmas this year.

In a message he gave from Mater Dei Hospital, from where he chose to convey his message, he said that Jesus came to bring his joy during Christmas in a special way to people who were suffering.

He said that at Christmastime, the term ‘to love’ took on a special flavour which could be translated as ‘to give’.

The archbishop reflected on voluntary work and on those who went out of their way and beyond their call of duty to offer some of their time to help others.
